Yajaira learned to swim when she was seven at her local pool and joined the water polo team when she was ten with BBAF swim scholarships. For the past three summers, Yajaira’s worked as a lifeguard at that same pool along with being a swim instructor for the last two. Yajaira is now attending UC Merced as the first in her family to attend college. Yajaira’s life has truly been transformed!
